Terms of service

What ClientLine is

ClientLine lets you create branded project portals, share each portal with a client through a secure link, and exchange files and project updates on a timeline. These terms are an agreement between you and ClientLine. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.

Your account

You sign in with a magic link sent to your email address, so keep that inbox secure: anyone who can read your email can access your account. You must provide an email address you control, and you are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Billing and trials

  • ClientLine Pro costs $29 per month, billed through Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
  • New accounts get a 14-day free trial with no card required. When the trial ends, existing portals stay live for your clients, but creating new portals requires a subscription.
  • You can cancel anytime from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and we do not offer partial refunds for unused time.

Your content

Files, project names, logos, and other content you or your clients upload belong to you. We store and transmit them only to provide the service. You are responsible for having the rights to everything uploaded through your portals, including content your clients upload.

Deleting a portal permanently deletes its files. We cannot recover them afterward, so download anything you need first.

Acceptable use

Do not use ClientLine to store or share content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or contains malware. Do not attempt to break, probe, or overload the service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Availability and changes

We work to keep ClientLine fast and available, but the service is provided as is, without warranties. We may add, change, or remove features. If we make a material change to these terms, we will post the updated version here with a new date.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClientLine is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
